Scentra is the brainchild of Karan Vij who saw an emerging market in comfortable loafers and footwear for both men and women. I was first acquainted with the brand about two years ago when I shot a campaign for them at the Hungry Monkey. I was really impressed with how light and durable the shoes were but what won me over was the strawberry insole that guaranteed that your feet and shoes smell fresh all day long.

These cruelty free, eco friendly shoes come in several different prints and colours and are competitively priced so you need not worry about blowing a hole in your pocket. For those of you with plantar fasciitis and people who walk a lot- Scentra’s have an orthopaedic sole to help give your feet the support and cushioning they need. Designed in California, manufactured in Spain – these shoes are made for walking, jumping, dancing all night long. I carried three pairs with me to my trip to Thailand and couldn’t get over how versatile they were. I don’t like the thought or stress of wearing high heels everyday but these shoes supported my foot on long days when we were window shopping and when we needed to shoot from sunrise to sunset.

I was a little worried after getting sand into my shoes and I thought I’d have to spend the rest of my days in this muck but these babies are easy to wash and dry in only a couple of hours. Plus their moisture wicking fabric keeps nasty dampness and fungus infections at bay.
